Heirloom Portraits

Hand-drawn pencil portraits that capture the people you love most — timeless keepsakes designed to be treasured for generations.

The Process

01

Consultation

Each portrait begins with a brief consultation. Together, we select a reference photograph and discuss composition, scale, and overall vision to ensure the strongest possible result.

02

Creation

Your portrait is drawn by hand using archival materials, with careful attention to balance, proportion, and subtle detail. Each piece is developed slowly and intentionally to preserve its refined, timeless quality.

03

Completion

Once finished, your artwork is carefully packaged and shipped, ready to be framed and displayed as a lasting family heirloom.

To preserve the quality and intention of each piece, I accept a very limited number of portrait commissions each month.

Reference Photo Guidelines

The quality of your portrait depends on the quality of your reference photo. Here are a few tips to help me create the best possible portrait:

  • Natural Light — Photos taken in soft, natural light produce the best results — window light, indirect daylight, or open shade.
  • Sharp Focus — Make sure the eyes and facial features are in clear focus. Blurry or low-resolution photos limit what I can capture.
  • High Resolution — The higher the resolution, the more detail I can render. Phone photos work great when taken in good light.
  • Framing — Head-and-shoulders at eye level works best. Avoid wide-angle selfies or full-body shots unless commissioning a full-body portrait.
  • Expression — Choose a photo that feels like them — a genuine smile, a relaxed moment, something natural and alive.
